“Naxalites Kill Woman in Chhattisgarh on Suspicion of Being Police Informer”

Incident Overview
In a disturbing incident in Chhattisgarh, Naxalites abducted Yalam Sukra from Laded village under the Madded police station limits on Saturday. Sukra was taken to a nearby hill, where she was strangled and her body was later abandoned.

Maoist Accusation and Pamphlet Recovery
At the scene, authorities found a pamphlet from the Madded area committee of Maoists, accusing Sukra of being a police informer since 2017.

Search Operation Underway
A search operation has been launched by the police to track down the Naxalites responsible for this heinous act.

Increasing Violence in Bastar Division
This killing is part of a disturbing pattern of violence in the Bastar division, which includes Bijapur and six other districts. Naxalites have killed more than 60 people in the region this year.

Recent Naxalite Attacks
Just days before, on December 6, Naxalites killed a woman Anganwadi assistant in Basaguda, accusing her of being a police informer. Additionally, on December 4, two former sarpanchs (village heads) were killed in Bijapur under similar suspicions.

Authorities’ Response
As violence continues to rise in the region, security forces are intensifying efforts to bring those responsible for these brutal acts to justice.
