Chhattisgarh Begins Construction of Rs 1,143 Crore Semiconductor Unit in Naya Raipur
Chhattisgarh has officially commenced the construction of its first semiconductor manufacturing facility in Naya Raipur, a project worth Rs 1,143 crore. The plant, developed by Polymatech Electronics, India’s first semiconductor chip manufacturer, will produce advanced chips for 6G, 7G telecom, and power electronics. This marks a pivotal step in the state’s ambition to become a hub for high-tech industries, drive foreign investment, and create high-value jobs.

The foundation stone for the semiconductor plant was laid by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on April 12, 2025.
