Raipur: Encounter Underway in Bastar
An encounter between security personnel and Naxalites erupted in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region on Friday afternoon, as confirmed by a senior police official.
The gunfight began around 1 PM in the Abhujmaad forest, located along the border of Narayanpur and Dantewada districts. The exchange of fire has been intermittent and continues as of now.
Safety of Security Personnel Ensured

Recent Success Against Naxalites
On Thursday, security forces successfully dismantled a Naxalite camp in the Sukma district of the Bastar region following a prior encounter. A significant cache of explosives and other materials was recovered during the operation, police officials stated.
