Road Accident Injures 30 En Route to Amit Shah’s Program in Dantewada
A vehicle carrying residents to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s public event in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, overturned on Saturday. Thirty people got injured in the crash, including six in critical condition, police confirmed.
Vehicle Loses Control Near Palnar Village
The accident happened near Palnar village, under Kuakonda police station, when the mini goods carrier transporting locals from the Naxal-affected Potali area overturned. Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle while on the way to the event.
Victims Receive Immediate Medical Attention
Medical teams quickly reached the spot. Some of the injured people went to Kuakonda health center, while others were taken to the district hospital for better care. Officials acted fast to provide emergency help.
Event Organized for Bastar Pandum Festival
The victims were heading to attend the closing ceremony of Bastar Pandum, a tribal cultural festival. The event, supported by the Chhattisgarh government, was held at a school ground in Dantewada, with Amit Shah scheduled to speak.
Police Launch Accident Investigation
Police started an investigation to find out what exactly caused the accident. So far, early reports suggest driver error may have led to the crash.
