🔍 Major Breakthrough in Bijapur District
Security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district have arrested seven Maoists in a major anti-insurgency operation.
The Maoists were involved in killing villagers they believed were police informers.
The operations took place under the Usur and Ilmidi police stations.
⚔️ Usur Operation: Five Maoists Captured
Police said five Maoists were caught for murdering Bhima Madkam, a man from Pujarikanker village.
On October 1, the group attacked and killed him with a sickle and knife after accusing him of helping police.
Based on intelligence inputs, a joint team of Usur police, CRPF, and CoBRA units moved quickly.
They arrested all five suspects and recovered the weapons used in the murder.
The arrested Maoists are:

- 
Shankar Esam alias Golem 
- 
Madkam Budhra 
- 
Sodhi Anda 
All belong to local Maoist militia groups, police confirmed.
🔫 Ilmidi Operation: Two More Arrested
In a separate mission, Ilmidi police and the 9th CRPF Battalion arrested two Maoists from Mujalkanker village.
They are Mahendra Miccha and Laxman Kursam.
Police said both men helped in killing Satyam Punem, a 40-year-old villager.
Punem was also accused of being a police informer by the Maoists.
Both suspects were active militia members in the area.

Police praised the teamwork between state police and central forces.

Officials confirmed that all seven Maoists were brought before the court under proper legal procedures.
